It's a...

We are now at 20 weeks and several weeks ago we announced that we were expecting with four hearts, all red, and told you to count the hearts. Well, I have taken the same picture except I have exchanged the last red heart with a blue heart. We are having a boy!! And on facebook I took a poll, dinosaurs verses flowers and since its a boy, dinosaurs win. I love this little dinosaur so I had to add him in the picture. Samantha was at a friends house when we went for the ultrasound. We were excited to tell her, but she showed only as much excitement as a 2 year old can. She does recognize that we are going to have a baby. This week I asked her what baby's name was and she replied, "Purple baby." And that only really makes sense because her room is purple. I think we are still in shock because we were so sure we were having a girl because at the doctors apts. they were reading 156+ on the heartbeat. But, today when they took the heartbeat it was 148, and there was the obvious boy part we needed to see. I love God's humor. This morning I was up really early from the excitement and I was watching TV. A commercial came on with a little boy playing with his trucks and I thought, "Oh now I want a boy." God is good and our hearts are full.

Its almost impossible to take a picture with Samantha. This is me at 20 weeks and pregnant all over and from this picture I can see that large t-shirts do not help my cause. So, here I am, baby and Samantha.

Samantha and Her Nails

Last night Samantha woke up and Will went in to check on her. I heard a very intense conversation about how she needed to get her nails painted. So, this afternoon we painted. Every time she does it she gets better at sitting still and letting the paint dry. I bought nail stickers and she insisted that each nail have a sticker. I can't wait until we can go get our nails done together.

Tuesday June 19th all three of us went to our baby apt. together. It was so much fun. I talked to Samantha about listening for the baby's heart beat and having to be good. She did so great. She kept telling me I was okay while the nurse took my blood pressure and measurements. Then we all heard "Little One's" heart beat together. All is going well. I even started going to the gym this week. Water aerobics and the stationary bike will be my new best friends for the next 20 weeks. We will soon be announcing whether we will be having a boy or girl. Stay tuned!

Father's Day 2012

The Hardwick Girl's Came to Visit

Samantha (2 1/2), Kaylee (3 1/2) and Abby (1 1/2) having good girl talk on the couch.

A day at the Children's Museum

Only girls have to kiss things. Kissing the turtle.

Taking care of the tiger in the Children's Museum.

Giving the news. There was a camera so they could look up and see themselves in a TV. Kaylee loved it.

My favorite picture.

So glad the girls came to visit us for three days. Samantha had so much fun with "My Kaylee" and I was really pleased with how well she did with Abby too. The girls were really sad to leave and Sam sat in front of the front door and cried for 10 minutes. She still talks about them all the time. Can't wait to see them again.
