Its been awhile sinse I have told everyone what is going on in Samantha's world.
* Samantha weighted 12.5 lbs on April 13th. She has always seemed like a small baby so we were pleased.
* She has been working on sitting up and she is the master at the bumbo chair that we got her this week.
* Last week in Denver she started rolling over every time I put her on her tummy so so much for tummy time.
* Last Sunday my dad made Samantha laugh so that she got that rolling laughter and we had never heard her laugh like that before. I got her to do it a few days after.
* She slept 9 hours through the night April 10th, but the next day we drove to Denver for a week and her schedule got all thrown off. We are currently trying to get back on it. I hate sleep training, and apparently I am not very good at it either.
* She has also started to go down for naps without being rocked. Although our naps are not very good right now its a good change, but reminds me that she is growing up.
* She loves her toys, especially her little pink and purple elephant and seems like anything she has in her hands also goes into her mouth. She can reach for toys and grabs her toys also.
* She can take her bink out of her mouth with her hands but has not figured out how to return the bink, so she cries.
* Samantha is very talkative. She has many expressions, and is not afraid to tell you loudly when she has had enough of something.
* She is extremely active which can be tough because she gets bored, so I have to move her from one place to another, play with her and keep her busy.
* Lastly, she has the greatest smile and her eyes sparkle every time she does. She is our sunshine.
Isn't it great! Sam sounds like my niece. Very active and full of energy. My niece hit her gross motor milestones very early on too! Don't hate sleep training..that will make your outlook on it worse. Just keep in mind that babies change everyday and so do their schedules. Briseis doesn't do an exact BW schedule AT ALL. She is actually not even close, but the goal was to get a good night time sleeper and that has been accomplished through trying to keep her sleep/ wake and metabolism cycles somewhat regulated. It is totally not the end of the world if she goes off and on. You're doing great. You have the best job in the world :)
