October Fun!

Samantha decorated her mini pumpkin with markers.

Samantha and Daddy doing a Halloween gingerbread house.

Our favorite October tradition is carving pumpkins with Daddy and Mom bakes the pumpkin seeds.
She looks so grown up in this picture :(

Fall festival at Parent's Day Out (school). Samantha decorating a cookie.

She is not sure about what just happened to her face.

Finishing her cookie she made at the festival.

Super Samantha before trick or treating

Fiddlestick Farms

Today was one of the first days that it has really felt like fall. It was cloudy and chilly this morning. Today was the opening day of Fiddlestick Farms, so we went to check it out. This is now a new family favorite place to go in the fall. We will probably be going back. They had cows, calves, chicks, chickens, pigs, goats, and pig races. They showed us how they milk a cow today, which I think well lead to some questions later by Miss Samantha, haha. They had a huge slide that Samantha loved, and a huge trampoline. What else? A corn maze, pumpkin and corn shoot, there was a lot. It was a little chilly when we first got there but my little Wyoming baby really doesn't feel the cold. And hot chocolate always makes both Will and Samantha happy. Here are some highlight pictures.

Super Samantha!

Samantha's Halloween costume came in the mail. I have to be honest and say that although Halloween as many bad connotations it is one of my favorite holidays of the year. It is because my parents allowed us to participate with the rule that we could never dress up as something demonic or scary, but we were just to have fun. I have so much fun memories especially now that mom is gone from Halloween and I just love that now we get to do the same thing with our kiddos. We have fun! I found this costume online and as soon as I saw it I thought, "This is for Sam." All summer she has been referring to herself as Super Samantha. And will say, "Super Samantha to the rescue!" Well, we got her super outfit in today and we put it on her to make sure it fit, and she went over the moon. She knew right away that this was her Super Samantha outfit. We had to go to Sam's and you should have seen her face when Will even suggested that she take it off. So here are pictures of Sam as Super Samantha at Sam's.

Old School

When we painted Caleb's room I borrowed a projector for the harder dinos and when I went to return it to the lady at church who let me borrow it she mentioned how she had been trying to sell it. Well I scooped that up and bought it for super cheap and it is one of Samantha's favorite things. The key is to use chalk because it is easy to clean if she goes off the paper on to the wall. After each picture Sam had me take a picture.

Rainy Day

Painting her bird house. How we love Hobby Lobby.

Glass crayons I found at Target. I wasn't sure about them so we used them on a mirror first before destroying our windows.
Here in Midland when it rains it pours. Its been raining since last night and all the roads are flooded. Our street is fine but the rest of the town is a mess. They even cancelled school today and Will said he saw many abandoned cars on his way to work. So, we have had the best rainy day. It included sleeping in, movie and popcorn and then art. I'm amazed at how much Samantha loves to do little art projects. Right now she is at her little table with her glitter glue gluing pompom balls onto construction paper. Seriously, her favorite thing.

Project #10....Project #1 million according to Will

Just because. We have been watching Bella since her accident and loving it! Samantha loves taking care of her, and feeding her and she is really careful with her.

Samantha's art has become overwhelming, so we created a wall for her.

This is our art wall. I took clipboards and modge podged scrapbook paper on them. I got plan letters from Hobby Lobby, which I'm keeping in business, and painted them. Will hung them for me.

This is what it will look like. Each week we will hang Samantha's work from school and Sunday school up and then replace it so we can see it but not get overrun by it.
