34 weeks

34 Weeks today and I am the same size I was when I was 40 weeks and delivered Samantha. Its going to be a long 6 weeks. I would be happy with just 4 more weeks.

Rainy Day

Glass crayons I found at Target. I wasn't sure about them so we used them on a mirror first before destroying our windows.

Here in Midland when it rains it pours. Its been raining since last night and all the roads are flooded. Our street is fine but the rest of the town is a mess. They even cancelled school today and Will said he saw many abandoned cars on his way to work. So, we have had the best rainy day. It included sleeping in, movie and popcorn and then art. I'm amazed at how much Samantha loves to do little art projects. Right now she is at her little table with her glitter glue gluing pompom balls onto construction paper. Seriously, her favorite thing.

Project #10....Project #1 million according to Will

Just because. We have been watching Bella since her accident and loving it! Samantha loves taking care of her, and feeding her and she is really careful with her.

Samantha's art has become overwhelming, so we created a wall for her.

This is our art wall. I took clipboards and modge podged scrapbook paper on them. I got plan letters from Hobby Lobby, which I'm keeping in business, and painted them. Will hung them for me.

This is what it will look like. Each week we will hang Samantha's work from school and Sunday school up and then replace it so we can see it but not get overrun by it. 

Pregnancy Update

This is the week we have been waiting for since finding out that I had a low lying placenta that put me at risk of placenta previa. Also, it would mean that I had no choice but to have a csection. Yesterday we had our sonogram to see if the placenta had moved back in place. The sonogram went really well and I'm so excited to document that it did and that everything looked good and that I'm no longer at risk. Caleb looked excellent. He weighs almost 4 pounds, measured at 31 weeks, 4 days and had a strong heart beat of 143. He did really well while he got his picture taken. My first due date that you get at your first appointment was November 10th, if they go by the growth he is due November 1st. So, when is he going to make his appearance? Sometime between November 1 and 10th. haha, its scientific you know. Great day in the Hart house!

Caleb's Nursery is done!!

I chalked the dinos on the wall and then painted them. I did this free hand once and then got a transparency projector and was able to trace the rest of them on the walls. It was so much faster. Still difficult to do all the detail and I had to do each one 3 times to get the paint to stick.

I wasn't sure about this one but once he was done I just love him.

This one turned out to be my favorite!

I bought plain letters from  Hobby Lobby and then painted them and hung them with the same ribbon I used on his wreath.

Will and Roberta put the crib back together, and the lanterns up.  Ashley helped me put the bedding in and Will did Caleb's name and verse in the volcano cloud. 

Caleb's verse is Romans 8:37.

Caleb's first blanket from Mommy

We are in full swing with the projects to complete Caleb's room. This week I should get all the stuff I ordered, the room painted, and the murals on the wall. We bought an activity rug to put on his floor so he can drive his cars on it. I'm ready for a little boy and the excitement it will bring to our house, not that Samantha doesn't do that all ready, cause boy does she.

3D Ultrasound

Today we had our 3D ultrasound. It is not a routine ultrasound but something you have to pay extra for and do outside of normal doctor sonograms. I was on the fence about doing it because I felt like it just gave too much away and took away from the surprise. I did want to make sure one more time that he was still a he and let me tell you that in 3D there are nooo questions. He is a boy! We didn't get to do this with Samantha and now that I have done it I'm really glad that we did. It was an amazing experience. He smiled at us and really did a great job in front of the camera. When she started and he could feel the ultrasound device on my stomach he smashed his face up against it as to check it out. The  last picture is the end of the ultrasound. You could tell he was tired from the attention and we watched him curl up on his favorite side and start to go to sleep. His hand looks like he is holding something, he is, his umbilical cord. She said that she has seen babies actually chew or play with them. Glad he wasn't doing that. We got a lots of pictures printed out, these are just a few out of many. We got one framed, and a cd. I can look back and say it was well worth it, and it really made me feel like this is real and we are going to have two kiddos. She measured him and he measured at 29 weeks and 2 days which would put his birth day at November 1 (of course this is just an estimation). A couple of exciting discoveries were the dimple on the one cheek and hair on his head! Overall, incredible day!
