Today, during tummy time Samantha pushed herself up so that her chest also came off the floor and not just her head, and then she pushed herself and rolled over! I was so excited that I cheered so loudly that I startled MoJo. He then started barking and running around me. I called Will and I guess I was so excited and talking so fast that he actually called me back to find out what had really happened. I was so excited. I don't know if she will do it again, but we will see at the next tummy time this afternoon and maybe I'll get some footage.
Today, I'm also going to start crib training her. Since the whole reflux disaster she has been sleeping in her bouncy chair, but she doesn't spit up hardly at all and when she is on the floor on her back she doesn't act like anything is bothering her, so we are going to try it again. I'm also going to try to move her to a 3 hour schedule instead of a 2 1/2 hour schedule. It is going to be a busy week, and a lot of tears, but at least we have Papa to look forward to seeing this weekend.
Wish us luck!

Update
Samantha seems to be doing better. This is the second day on her meds, so hopefully we will be getting better and better. Today was not the best day but a lot better than any day the past two weeks. We have to have her sleep in her little bouncy chair because laying down still bothers her a lot I'm not looking forward to weaning her from that. My goal is hopefully having her sleep in her crib again by the end of next week. She will have completed her antibiotics for her ears then and will have been on her reflux meds for two weeks. On another note, she is the happiest baby. She only fusses when I have had her up longer than I should have or when she is hungry. She is starting to smile and laugh, and she is aware. She also holds her head up really well. We are having a blast, but I can't wait until this time passes and she naps and sleeps through the night. Anyway, we are doing good. I was released from the doctor yesterday and began working out. I am in my college roommates wedding in July and must lose the weight. We are doing P90X, and getting our butt kicked. Thats it for now, hopefully next week I will have a report of more napping and sleeping. :)

Doctors Visit
This week Sam hasn't been feeling good. She hardly ever sleeps if at all, and we noticed she has a different cry. Its very nasally, and hoarse. We took her to the doctor and she has been suffering with acid reflux. Thats probably part of the reason she hasn't been napping. They gave her some medicine, and if that doesn't work we have some meds for her ears in case thats the issue too. Babies are so hard to treat. I was excited to find out that she has gained 2 pounds and is now 9 lbs 2 oz. I hope the meds kick in soon and we can get on a good napping routine.

Happy Birthday Sam!
I can't believe it! Today Samantha is 1 month old. I couldn't say that it has gone by fast, but I can't believe how much she has grown and changed over the last month. She smiles, she coos, and oh yes she crys. She is wonderful though, and we love her. I would say last night and today have been a success. We are following BabyWise and Jo Hardwick's advice. Thanks Jo for all your help. And lets see. Last night she went and did her nap until like 11:45 pm, which was a first! Then, I fed her even though I thought it was early to eat, but she seemed hungry, and then she slept until 4! I actually had to go wake her up since she still needs to eat at least once in the middle of the night. She didn't wake up until 6:30! Her first two naps of the day have been good too. Right now she is taking her nap and I can hear her fussing around but no cries. I'll take it. She is a noisy sleeper. Anyway, praising the Lord for small victories. MoJo is glad to because when she cries he is very upset. At one point I went in and looked in her crib and Mo put his front paws on the crib and looked in too. I just started laughing. I'm hoping Samantha gets into the swing of things soon. Oh, I spoke too soon, she is crying, have to go.
Happy 1 Month Birthday Samantha!
